My Experience:

The brush is made of rubber bristles and is asymmetrical shaped like a butterfly wing, longer bristles at one end and shorter more even bristles at the other end. It grabs every eyelashes on my eyes, giving me very dramatic effect without clumpy or spiky effect. I get great length, volume, curl and separation with it ( I have before and after pictures below ). I don’t know about the matte part but it definitely gives me intense black eyelashes. I love using this brush for my other mascaras too and  I have used it so much that you can’t even see its orignal shape in the pictures below. I didn’t experience any flaking throughout the day and  had no issues taking it off with my usual eye-makeup-remover.  I got amazing results from this LOreal False Lash Schmetterling ( Butterfly) Mascaras. It’s one of my favorite mascara of all time. Yes I would recommend this  and would keep buying it until I find much better and cheaper option.
